Since 1981 Pappageorge Haymes Partners has designed iconic forms in urban environments. Starting with adaptive re-use and single-family renovations, they quickly expanded up through apartments, mid-rises, high-rises and tall towers of 80 stories or more – and out through row house developments, apartment and townhouse communities, and complex mixed-use environments.
From their roots in the Near-North Side of Chicago, they have expanded nationally. After decades of bringing back the old neighborhoods, they are now reordering a world-class skyline with projects that will rank among the 10 tallest Chicago structures. And with their history as leaders in determining issues of urbanism and the regeneration of cities, they are moving into other product categories that are seeing more value in an urbanist approach.
