About Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences

By securing the air rights over the adjoining University Club, Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences was able to build a 35-story building employing a cantilever structure. The building's overall structure is composed of a concrete core with steel perimeter columns and floor spans for the first four floors topped with an entirely concrete frame at the fifth floor and above, all supported by a series of 39.6 meter (130 feet) long concrete caissons anchored in bedrook.
